Bring Shark Education Into Your Classroom!
The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy works with students in grades K-12 to bring standard based lessons into the classroom. We strive to connect students to the ongoing white shark research and conservation efforts in a hands-on and engaging way.
In school programs can be organized by class, grade level, or as a full school. We have a variety of programs we offer, and we can make recommendations based on grade level. From learning about the anatomy and life cycle of a white shark, to understanding how tags track sharks, we have something to fit what your students are working on.
The AWSC Education team has the ability to travel around New England for our programs, and our in school programs make a great hands-on experience for scout troops, libraries, and other small education groups.
Looking to Take Your Students on a Jawesome Field Trip? Join us at the Shark Center for a school program!
The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy has two outreach facilities, Shark Center Chatham, and Shark Center Provincetown. We have the ability to host school groups at either facility, and if you select Chatham, we have the added option of combining the museum tour with a hands-on program in our learning lab.
Please know our Shark Center Provincetown location is closed from November through April, and our Shark Center Chatham location cannot host school groups from June 5th to Labor Day.
